JAMES BOND JR. UK hardcovers

Last month I did a post about the six James Bond Jr. paperbacks published in the U.S. in 1992. Now our friend Bazeer Flumore, who runs the terrific website PizGloria.com, has sent over cover art for four hardcovers by Caryn Jenner that were published just in the UK. These books adapt different episodes from what was released in the U.S. Curiously, they were released in 1993, a year after the series went off the air.

Produced by EON Productions/Danjaq, James Bond Jr. featured the adventures of 007's nephew and his friends at Warfield Academy. It debuted on September 30, 1991 and ran for a total of 65 episodes.

Thank you, Bazeer.

  1. I think they were sold in Australia, too.

  2. I wonder what James Bond Jr is doing now he's left school? Too well known to be a spy so possibly working at a hardware store somewhere. Jeffery Deaver, are you listening?

  3. Ha! The funny thing is, even if he were listening, there's nothing Jeffery Deaver could do with James Bond Jr.--alive, anyway. That was the trouble Raymond Benson ran into as soon as he got the Bond gig. He wanted to do something with Bond's son by Kissy Suzuki, only to find that Danjaq and not Glidrose (predecessor to IFP) owned the rights to any offspring of James Bond! Crazy, huh? So he worked around it by having that son found dead in his very first Bond short story, "Blast From the Past."
