HURRICANE ROOM title confirmed

The title of Kim Sherwood's final Double O novel has been confirmed by Harper Fiction as a Hurricane Room. I like it! Release date is May 21, 2026.

I'm excited to see "James Bond returns" in the description above. So might this be more OO7 and less Double Os.  I'm here for that!

You can pre-order Hurricane Room at Amazon.co.uk.

KIM SHERWOOD on Ian Fleming's style

In the run up to the release of Double or Nothing, HarperFiction on Twitter is sharing a series of short film clips of author Kim Sherwood talking about her journey from Bond fan to Bond author. I really like today's installment in which she recalls reading Ian Fleming's From Russia With Love for the first time.

Double or Nothing will be released in the UK on September 1, 2022 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk.

FOREVER AND A DAY will be released in the U.S. in Fall

Somewhat hidden among the big announcement of the title and plot details for Anthony Horowitz's upcoming Bond, Forever and a Day, was news that the book will be released in the U.S. in Fall. The revelation came via a tweet from IFP (below) and is the first mention of any U.S. release. Still unknown is what publisher will be handling the book. Anthony's last Bond, Trigger Mortis, was released in the U.S. by Harper Collins.

You can pre-order the UK edition of Forever and a Day at Amazon.co.uk.

Horowitz begins second draft of NEW BOND

Before the end of the year, author Anthony Horowitz tweeted a teaser pic of the first draft of his new James Bond novel. Today he shares another pic of that draft as he sets out working on his second. Anyone got any Scotch tape?

In a follow-up tweet the author stated: "Bond takes more to get right. Usually two or three is enough."

Horowitz completes first draft of his NEW BOND

Anthony Horowitz has completed the first draft of his new James Bond novel. He announced the news on Twitter with a photo of the manuscript below. Does this show us a title starting with the letter "F"? Horowitz had previously tweeted that the title contains the word "and".

Where's Anthony?

Author Anthony Horowitz has tweeted an update about the progress of his new Bond novel.

So if he's researching Chapter 21 here, that begs the question of where exactly is he? Is that the engine room of a ship by any chance? Or a submarine? Look closely and maybe we can find a clue as to where his new Bond climaxes (wait, that didn't come out right).

Anthony Horowitz's "James Bond book 2" will be released by Jonathan Cape in the UK in 2018. You can read the press release HERE.

Interestingly, only one James Bond novel has contained the word "and" in the title...AND it's not hard to remember which one.

Did the new Bond TITLE arrive last night?

No one teases Bond fans better than Anthony Horowitz. Even though he has yet to even start writing his next James Bond book, hearing stuff like this is the best:

ULTIMATE BONDCAST decides the BEST Bond film of them all

Recently I had the extreme pleasure of joining fellow Bond fanatics Brad Hansen, Athena Stamos, Ryan Provencher and Bob Mitsch to record the Ultimate BONDCAST in which we individually ranked and then debated which James Bond films we consider the best (and worst). In the end, the average of our rankings revealed the Best James Bond film of them all!

It was a marathon night and now it's a marathon podcast (nicely edited by Brad Hansen). I know this is about the movies and not the books, but I hope you'll have a listen anyway. Enjoy!
