Whatculture.com has discovered that Sony Pictures has just registered a dozen URLS "which suggest they are planning something around the term 'Skyfall' and James Bond."
Does this mean Skyfall is the title of Bond 23? If you recall, the title Quantum of Solace was discovered a day before the official announcement via this same domain name search.
Of course, here at The Book Bond, when I hear the title Skyfall I can't help but think of Cold Fall, the U.S. title of John Gardner's last original James Bond novel (right).
Hey, at least it's one word.
Thanks to 'Shrublands' at the CommanderBond.net forums for the tip-off.

It ws not a member of the CommanderBond.net forums who discovered that Skyfall might be the title of Bond 23...
ReplyDeleteAh, you're right Bond Fan. I see the origin link was from whatculture.com. I will fix. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOh please don't curse the film by invoking that wretched, wretched continuation novel! Undoubtedly Gardner's worst and I'd hazard the second worst of all after Devil May Care...
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, it's not a bad title for a film. Not GREAT, but I could get used to it. I hope your logic about non-Fleming title equaling original novelization proves true! It would be very interesting to see who they tapped to such a book when there isn't a regular author du jour. Personally, my hope would be for Benson to return...
Hmmm
ReplyDeletedon't really know what to think of this
not the best title tbh
but at least there's gonna be Bond next year
WOOOOO
:D
I don't care with title is but Skyfall seem to be a good title
ReplyDeletewhy not call the Movie 007, why not
ReplyDeleteHow true this was...well done JC!
