The last James Bond poster book was released in 2001 (an updated version that added Die Another Day came out in 2004), so I think we're due for a new book that collects the Craig era posters, including, presumably, SKYFALL.
Pre-order James Bond: 50 Years of Movie Posters
UPDATE: I sent an email to DK seeing if I could get a review copy of this book, but didn't hear back. And it's not (just) because I'd like a free copy. I really think this book needs a proper review by a real Bond fan who has the other poster books and can tell you what's different and special about this one. Why this is a must buy...or not.
I've posted a thread at the CBn Forums to solicite opinions from other Bond fans before taking the plunge.
Ooops, someone mention my Fan Art as a official book cover? lol http://www.flickr.com/photos/marcoskontze/5589329091/in/photostream
ReplyDeleteOh, is that fan art? I though that was official art. Not the book cover, just 50th Anniversary art in general. I will have to take this down. Sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteOh Yes. This Will Be Fun!!

Don't worry John, actually it wasn't even necessary to remove it, I'm quite flattered to be honest. I've only posted here to clarify that it ain't the original artwork. Thanks anyway... :)
ReplyDeleteIt looked great. Good enough to be official! I just don't want to confuse people.
DeleteIt should be official, Marcos's work is incredible.
ReplyDeleteIf that isn't the actual cover, it should be!

UPDATED with the cover art. Not all that impressed.
ReplyDeleteI missed Marco's art. Was it cool?
ReplyDeleteUnless it's better than Nixdorf's book, no point in getting it.
ReplyDeleteI grabbed this from amazon as soon as it was listed and I love it! A terrific book, beautiful art and entertaining, educational text. Well worth the $50 price tag.
