LICENCE RENEWED and FOR SPECIAL SERVICES now shipping

The first of the new John Gardner UK paperback reprints, Licence Renewed and For Special Services, are now shipping from Amazon.co.uk.

Icebreaker was originally scheduled to be included in this first release, but it will instead be in the next batch of four books due out May 10. The plan is to reprint all the John Gardner James Bond paperbacks with new cover designs by Dan Mogford. The scheduling has been a little fluid, but here is the release schedule as it stands today:

OUT NOW:

Visit our special Gardner Renewed page for links and release date updates for all the Gardner-Bond reprints in the U.S. and UK.

  1. Interesting covers but they don't ignite my inner fanboy, I'm afraid. Good to see these Gardners getting another turn though, as many are good reads, esp Icebreaker. Do we know if the Bensons will get an outing too?

  2. Hi there,

Is the UK edition contains the Introduction from Raymond Benson (for Licence Renewed) as it appears in the US edition?

    1. I'm not sure these UK paperbacks have those intros. I'll let you know when I have the book in hand.

    2. Got 'em. No intros. Looks like that's unique to the U.S. editions.

  3. Having these now in hand, I can say they are terrific. It's a dream come true to get these new printings. A bonus is that they are trade size and match the Richie Fahey Fleming paperbacks, so these line up on the shelf next to those beautifully! It's going to be a hard wait until May for the next set. :)
