Not a typically Bondian title like her previous books, Double or Nothing and A Spy Like Me, but I kind of like it. It's intriguing.

I agree with you on this title: not particularly Bondian sounding but intriguing all the same.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that it reminded me of Hurricane Gold (is “Hurricane” going to be a word that joins the pantheon of words commonly found in Bond titles, like “Gold”, “Die” and “Never”?).
But the term “hurricane room” first appears in From Russia, with Love (and later in Sherwood’s own books).

Also worth noting another book title that was disclosed recently.
ReplyDeleteThe second Q Mysteries novel will continue the theme of riffing on Fleming titles. It will be called The Man with the Golden Compass. https://www.lovereading.co.uk/blog/q-a-with-author-vaseem-khan-about-new-james-bond-spin-off-quantum-of-menace-9293
