Kim Sherwood's next Double O is HURRICANE ROOM

The title of Kim Sherwood's next (and last?) Double O novel has been revealed on Amazon as Hurricane Room. No plot summary yet, but the release date shows as May 21, 2026.

Not a typically Bondian title like her previous books, Double or Nothing and A Spy Like Me, but I kind of like it. It's intriguing.

You can pre-order Hurricane Room at Amazon.co.uk.

  1. I agree with you on this title: not particularly Bondian sounding but intriguing all the same.

My first thought was that it reminded me of Hurricane Gold (is “Hurricane” going to be a word that joins the pantheon of words commonly found in Bond titles, like “Gold”, “Die” and “Never”?).

But the term “hurricane room” first appears in From Russia, with Love (and later in Sherwood’s own books).

  2. Also worth noting another book title that was disclosed recently.

The second Q Mysteries novel will continue the theme of riffing on Fleming titles. It will be called The Man with the Golden Compass. https://www.lovereading.co.uk/blog/q-a-with-author-vaseem-khan-about-new-james-bond-spin-off-quantum-of-menace-9293
