James Bond and SPECTRE return in "EIDOLON"

In an exclusive interview with writer Warren Ellis, Comic Book Resources has revealed that Dynimite's next James Bond story arc will begin in issue #7 and will be called Eidolon. They've also revealed that SPECTRE will be part of the new story.

After World War Two, army intelligence groups created ghost cells called "stay-behinds" across Europe in the event of a Warsaw Pact surge. "EIDOLON" is the story of a SPECTRE stay-behind structure - ghost cells of SPECTRE loyalists acting as sleepers until the time is right for a SPECTRE reformation and resurgence. The time is now.

James Bond #7 Eidolon will launch June 15, the same day the first 6-part story arc, Vargr, is released in a collected hardcover.

Young Bond goes to Cuba in HEADS YOU DIE

Steve Cole's next Young Bond adventure, Heads You Die, will be set in Cuba, according to a new plot description on

Paperback edition.
James's Cuban holiday has become a nightmare mission to save an old friend from a villain who has perfected 1,000 ways to kill.

With corrupt cops and hired assassins hot on his heels, James must travel through Havana and brave Caribbean waters to stop a countdown to mass murder.

Fates will be decided with the flip of a coin. Heads or tails. Live or die.

While the literary Bond traveled to Cuba in the novelizations for GoldenEye and Die Another Day, this will be the first original Bond adventure set in the island country.

TRIGGER MORTIS paperback: "It's very blue."

Doesn't it seem like we are long overdue for the Trigger Mortis UK paperback cover art? After all, the book comes out May 19. So I tweeted out this feeling to the powers that be and got this playful response from author Anthony Horowitz.

Hey, it's something! And this does tell us the artwork will not be just a sized down version of the hardcover art. So this is actually kind of exciting and will hold me...for now.

As for the U.S. paperback, publisher Harper Collins tells me that it is still "too soon" for the art. That edition comes out September 6, 2016.
