IAN FLEMING Vintage Classic hardcovers released
Three new "Vintage Classic" hardcover editions of Ian Fleming's Casino Royale, Live and Let Die and Goldfinger have been released in the UK. The books sport beautiful original cover art and endpapers by Levente Szabo, and include never-before-seen material from the Ian Fleming and Jonathan Cape archives, including letters, documents and photographs. Each book also has an introduction by writer, flim-maker and James Bond expert John Cork.
Purchase from Amazon.co.uk: Casino Royale | Live and Let Die | Goldfinger.

Hi John! What can you tell us about the archive material included? While these look splendid, I have too many Fleming books and am trying to be a little more frugal. Are these must own?
ReplyDeleteThe John Cork introductions are superb. Far and away the best introductions ever written for the Bond books. Extra material is also nice. I'm happy to have these as my new reading copies.
DeleteI think I prefer the Folio editions.
ReplyDeleteThe art work by Fay Dalton makes them really quite uniqe.
I shall be in London next week, and can look these over; I shall probably buy the CASINO ROYALE in any event...
ReplyDeleteIf you've seen the last series of Rex Stout/Nero Wolfe paperbacks, these are very similar, with letters and notes from the time of original publication (about 8-10 pages worth). LIVE AND LET DIE collates the original British and American texts for a "new" version of the novel, not published before in the U.K.
DeleteWill they release the rest the set in these hardcover editions?
