  1. What's with the 87 on the cover?

    1. Oh, shoot. Now you've got me seeing it.

Am kind of partial to that TMWTRT cover, and the French flag colour scheme for Never Dream of Dying.

  2. Flippin' 'eck, Tucker. I didn't think I'd see any good covers this year. These are terrific.

  3. I like the Benson covers, too. Too bad they're just ebooks; I'd like to collect them.

The Moneypenny ones are ok, but not nearly as good as the original Stina Persson ones. And I'd always hoped to see her go back and do one for Guardian Angel. At least All the previous covers had guns on them. These fashion cut outs convey the Suxties setting, but little else. Moneypenny is not particularly fashion-oriented in Fleming or Weinberg. They should have taken this opportunity to clearly convey that these are BOND BOOKS, because they very much are! But those covers will do little to attract male spy fans. They already tried marketing these to women and failed miserably; it's time to go the other direction. These are surprisingly among the best of the continuation novels (especially the second one), and deserve a wider audience.
