FOR SPECIAL SERVICES reprint in November

My old friends at CommanderBond.net have scored a sweet scoop. It appears Orion will release a new reprint of John Gardner's second James Bond novel For Special Services in November, and CBn offered a first look at the cover art on their Twitter.

    That's just really... weird! I mean, it makes sense to re-jacket the Gardner books and keep them in print, but why start with the second one?

      It's less explicitly "of it's day" than LICENCE RENEWED (whose "bringing Bond into the 1980s" aspect doesn't really mean much anymore). Plus it's "The return of SPECTRE", which is a better "hook".
