Great news. Even twenty plus years on, this is still THE definitive reference work on the literary James Bond. I went through a couple of copies back in the Eighties and Nineties! (The original binding seemed kind of prone to coming apart when it was read as frequently as mine.)

While I fully understand and appreciate Raymond's reasons for not wanting to update it now that he's been on the inside of the James Bond world... I still wish he would. Perhaps just on the movies if he felt too uncomfortable assessing other books as an official continuation author himself, though a different sort of section on the books, told from that insider's perspective, would be welcome too. Maybe that's a whole other book. A memoir of his own Bond experience to serve as a Volume 2 of sorts?
